There are many opportunities to study performing arts at Vermont State University. Here's just a few examples!
• BA in Theatre Arts
BA in Theater Arts is designed to showcase your talents and set you on a path to a successful career in the theater world. As a Theater major, you will work on main-stage plays, black box productions, musical theater, classic works, and original pieces. You will learn the ins and outs of acting, directing, dance, stage management, running crew, lighting and sound design, video, and set construction.
• BA in Musical Theatre
The Musical Theater BA program, with a focus on real-world experiences, will have you performing in your first semester. Throughout the program, you’ll move from thinking to doing, so you can build skills to excel in performance art theater, television and film, video production, education, and other fields.
• BA in Music
In the Music BA program at Vermont State, you’ll build a foundation in music skills, knowledge, and performance to bring your talents—and your career—to life. By choosing a general concentration or a performance concentration, you can tailor our music program to fit your goals. Whether you were born to perform or teach or have another interest in music, we’ll support you in your dreams to make an impact on the world.
