Undergrad Christian Life

Center on Christ. Change the world.

Welcome to Toccoa Falls College! Our school is a private, nonprofit, Christian liberal arts institution located in the foothills of beautiful northeast Georgia. Established in 1907, our school’s mission is to cultivate a uniquely Christian learning community that integrates the pursuit of truth with godly character to produce graduates prepared both personally and professionally for service.

Our mission and values
At TFC, we are compelled toward excellence, committed to growth, and devoted to community. We carry out our mission and vision with passionate faculty and staff. For our students, we uniquely integrate biblical truth, academic excellence, and intentional spiritual formation within a caring Christian community.

Be transformed
We’re both authentic and genuine, and not only when it comes to your success in the classroom. We want to foster a culture of Christian leadership within you when it comes to you growing in your faith. Our students are challenged to grow in their faith by getting involved in small groups, regular community worship, student-faculty mentor relationships, service and outreach opportunities within the local area, and many more spiritual growth opportunities that you’d be able to take advantage of by attending TFC.

Academics
An important part of developing leaders is to provide the best academic curriculum to prepare students for the future. Toccoa Falls College has been accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools since 1983. A variety of undergraduate degree and certificate programs are offered through the College’s four schools: the School of Arts & Sciences, the School of Christian Ministries, the School of Professional Studies, and the Fetterman School of Nursing. Our low 16:1 student-faculty ratio facilitates an open-door policy and excellent one-on-one advising from faculty to student. With an average class size of 17, TFC provides students an intimate and intentional experience in the classroom.

Campus community
Our beautiful campus sits on 1,100 acres in the rural foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, where students and visitors of the campus can enjoy views of mountain scenery while participating in the many outdoor activities the area provides, such as rock-climbing, whitewater rafting, hiking, camping, and more. TFC is also home to the historic Toccoa Falls waterfall. At 186 feet, the waterfall is the tallest free-falling waterfall east of the Mississippi River.

TFC has over 15 student-led organizations and clubs led by the Student Government Association, ranging from the Theatrical Society, which puts on theatrical performances, to the Justice Campaign, which supports and promotes social issues such as poverty, homelessness, and refugee crises. No matter what you’re called to do in life, TFC’s campus community not only gives you a great college experience but puts you in life-changing environments.

An Inside Look

What students are saying about us...

  • “Coming to TFC, I didn't know the exact career path I wanted to take, but I chose to study in the Ministry Leadership Department because I knew it would form and shape me into the kind of person I longed to be. I desired to be a wise, gentle, and compassionate leader that led those around me in servitude and with a deep understanding of who God had made me and others to be. My professors cared more about the process of transformation than they did results on paper. I got to know the professors on a personal level, and each of them had a profound impact on my life. After graduating, I had the confidence that regardless of the career path I took, in ministry or in the business world, I would thrive as a leader firmly established in God's word and His ultimate leadership.”

    • Anna Claire Mell
      Class of 2018
  • “The Fetterman School of Nursing teaches the practice of nursing through a uniquely Christian worldview. The professors are passionate about their students and invest so much of themselves into helping each student thrive. As a student nurse, I was provided with an extremely diverse set of clinical opportunities. I practiced nursing in rural hospitals, urban medical centers, an array of community health settings, and even on a medical mission trip in Honduras. My time studying nursing at TFC has shaped me into a confident, compassionate nurse and servant leader. I could not be more thankful for my time in this program.”

    • Madeline VanHorn
      Class of 2020
  • "I am fully convinced that I would not be the person I am today had I not been a part of such a life-changing college! The professors were extremely intentional in the way they developed us. Rather than focusing on our specific craft alone, the faculty were passionate about developing us spiritually and academically while simultaneously pushing us to cultivate our craft. The diverse course material prepared me to skillfully lead from a strong, biblical foundation. While serving as a Chapel Team leader, I received hands-on experience planning campus worship gatherings alongside our Spiritual Formation Director, facilitating rehearsals, scheduling and coordinating team members, and selecting musical material each week. I’m so thankful for the time I spent learning from professors that truly care about their students and grateful that I had the opportunity to call the Music Department home during my time at TFC.”
