Established in 1854, we're Rhode Island’s first public institution of higher education.
The College is located on a beautiful 180-acre suburban campus in the vibrant city of Providence, with satellite locations at the Rhode Island Nursing Education Center in Providence’s Innovation District and the Rhode Island College Workforce Development Hub in Central Falls. We're known throughout the Northeast for high-quality academic programs, small class sizes, personalized learning, hands-on experiences, world-class faculty, and high value compared to other four-year institutions.

Rhode Island College offers a rich and rigorous environment for students to engage in learning in and out of the classroom. We believe your educational experience should have many dimensions. You'll experience growth in skills and factual knowledge, in self-confidence and self-esteem, in your ability to imagine and create, and in your awareness of others in this increasingly diverse community. We hope you make a commitment to grow in each of these dimensions because we know your educational satisfaction will be directly related to such a commitment.
