Making transfer students feel right at home
Georgian Court University provides a comprehensive liberal arts education in the Roman Catholic tradition centered around the Mercy core values of respect, integrity, justice, compassion, and service.
We make transferring simple and seamless. Georgian Court accepts at least 75 community college credits—and in some cases, more! Our 80% graduation rate far exceeds the national transfer student average. And we’ve been recognized as part of the Phi Theta Kappa Transfer Honor Roll multiple years in a row.
We are keenly focused on students inside and beyond the classroom and seek to deliver an exceptional education. Our faculty know the students—their weaknesses as well as their strengths. They are dedicated, caring educators and experts in their respective industries, leading programs for more than 35 undergraduate majors, 10 graduate degrees, and a variety of certificates.
In the heart of it all
The University’s historic campus in Lakewood, New Jersey, is only 60 minutes from both New York City and Philadelphia. You can participate in more than 60 honor societies and clubs or start your own. Students have the opportunity to see life differently through other perspectives by participating in dozens of service learning opportunities. If you prefer peace and quiet and our 156 acres isn’t enough, a 20-minute trip from campus to the beach may be just what you need to clear your mind.
MORE! Affordable, convenient, and accessible
Through our partnership with Brookdale Community College, we offer a 3+1=MORE! Program, which allows you to earn two degrees in the same time it would take you to get one—at a fraction of the cost! Students enjoy the advantage of distinguished faculty, career services, and opportunities from not one but two institutions. 3+1=MORE! is more affordable, more convenient, and more accessible.
The world is waiting
The global education program at Georgian Court University gives students a deeper understanding of other cultures and their own values and culture. The program helps students become aware of critical concerns that affect the world, participate in dialogue on global issues, appreciate diversity, heighten critical-thinking skills, become civically engaged, and transform into self-directed scholars and global citizens.
While studying abroad, students develop knowledge, understanding, and skills related to their academic discipline. They’ll also immerse themselves in another culture while cultivating career connections. It’s not just a one-time experience either. Many of our graduates leverage their time studying abroad into relevant careers.
