GCU’s faculty are committed to teaching and individual mentoring; 91% hold doctorates or terminal degrees in their field. They’re dedicated, caring educators and experts in their respective fields, leading more than 30 undergraduate degrees, 11 graduate degrees, and a variety of certificates.
In the heart of it all
Georgian Court University’s historic 156-acre campus located in Lakewood, New Jersey, is fortunate enough to be located 60 minutes from both New York City and Philadelphia.
Students can participate in more than 60 honor societies and clubs or start their own. Students can see life differently through other perspectives during a study abroad experience or by participating in dozens of service learning opportunities. If students prefer peace and quiet and our 156 acres isn’t enough, a 20-minute trip from campus to the beach may be just what a student needs to clear their mind.
Affordable private education
At Georgian Court, we take the financial aspect of college very seriously—because we know paying for a college education is no easy task. And with one of the biggest hidden costs of colleges being time—especially if it takes longer than four years to complete a degree—we work hard to keep students on track to graduation. We offer our award-winning “Chart the Course” retention plan that offers free courses to eligible students, math and writing labs, and a new focus on academic advising and faculty-student mentoring. In addition, the Office of Financial Aid at Georgian Court University helps students and their families ensure that students have the financial resources to fully focus on their education. Nearly 99% of full-time first-year students receive some form of financial aid.
The world is waiting for you
The global education program at GCU gives students a deeper understanding of other cultures and their own values and culture. The program helps students become aware of critical concerns that affect the world; participate in the dialogue on global issues; appreciate diversity; heighten critical-thinking skills; become civically engaged; and become self-directed scholars and global citizens.
While studying abroad, students will develop knowledge, understanding, and skills related to their academic discipline. They’ll also immerse themselves in another country and its cultures while cultivating career connections. It’s not just a one-time experience either; many of our graduates are able to leverage their time studying abroad into relevant careers.
