Health professions at Colorado Christian University
Through the integration of faith and learning in every course, you'll be encouraged to explore your role as a health care provider in light of your relationship with Jesus Christ. Our faculty strive to equip you with the knowledge and academic background you’ll need to be the most effective in your health care field specialty. CCU graduates advance the Kingdom of Jesus Christ by pursuing vocations in physical and occupational therapy, nursing, medicine, and more.
A sacred calling
Ultimately, our vision is empowering students to practice health professions as ministry. We challenge our students to become competent, compassionate, moral leaders who impact their world and transform health care through the uniqueness of Christ-inspired health practice. At CCU, health professions are both a scientific discipline and a sacred calling.
Nursing spotlight
The Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program at CCU is a state-approved, nationally accredited direct-admit program designed for students who are seeking licensure as a registered nurse. While theory and ethics are taught in the classroom, practical skills are taught and practiced at the University’s newly opened 4,600-sq. ft. simulation center and at partner hospitals throughout the Denver metro area. The simulation center allows participants to develop technical and critical-thinking skills prior to entering the hospital, making them more successful in a clinical setting.
The CCU difference
Colorado Christian University cultivates a knowledge and love of God in a Christ-centered community of learners and scholars with an enduring commitment to the integration of exemplary academics, spiritual formation, and engagement with the world. At CCU, we want you to learn how to learn, and we believe that goes far beyond four years of study and a degree. Academics aren’t just about increasing knowledge but transforming you as a person.
