A real-world education
CBU is consistently rated one of the best universities in the Southeast and the nation. It’s not hard to understand why. CBU delivers an outstanding education that challenges you as a scholar and prepares you for success—in your career and every area of your life. You won’t just learn; you’ll use what you learn firsthand. You'll work with professionals to experience your area of interest and build invaluable knowledge and skills along with your résumé

Today, it's vitally important for students to develop the skills that allow them to succeed in many jobs and gather as much work experience as possible while in college. A CBU education will enable you to achieve both. CBU’s core curriculum—whether in the arts, business, engineering, or the sciences—seeks to help you develop strong communication skills, think critically, and work in teams, all qualities employers want to see in today’s graduates. CBU undergraduates further gather extremely valuable hands-on knowledge through internships, externships, and co-ops. Small classes and close faculty relationships play a major role in your success. You’ll interact daily in class with fellow students and faculty, and you’ll also work closely together outside the classroom, collaborating on research and other projects. A CBU education is rigorous, but it's also highly supportive and highly personalized.

Helping you develop the ability to conduct research, analyze the data, and interpret the results is a top priority in our unique CBU education. Virtually every major program features a senior project during which students engage in research with their professors and give professional presentations at the end of the course. It's not at all surprising, then, that CBU graduates enjoy impressive acceptance rates at medical, pharmacy, dental, nursing, physical therapy, and law schools. The same applies to graduate programs ranging from the liberal arts to engineering to the sciences.

A full college experience
CBU doesn’t just offer you a great education—it’s also a lot of fun! CBU’s diverse student population creates an open, accepting community where everyone feels welcome.
