Tina Brooks has enjoyed a professional path that has wound through publishing, nonprofit organizations, freelance writing and editing, academia, and, finally, college admission. She has her BA from the University of Wisconsin–Madison and her PhD in English from the University of California, Berkeley. She has taught at Agnes Scott College and West Chester University and worked in admission at both Scripps College and Pomona College.
