Emma Worthington is a junior at the Kansas Academy of Math and Science. She intends to major in Biomedical and Chemical Engineering in college. Most of her time is spent going to classes or pursuing research. Her most recent projects include a study conducted to identify the disparities between rural and urban gifted education and work analyzing varying levels of microplastics in wastewater. In her free time, she enjoys brushing up on her policy debate skills and volunteering at a local animal shelter.
