As a native New Yorker, Dr. Danielle R. Moss has been a leader in the city’s education and human services sector for two decades. As the current CEO of Oliver Scholars, she’s operating in and addressing issues impacting Black and Brown communities, including K–12 education, access to higher education, youth development, and inclusivity. Prior to becoming CEO of Oliver Scholars in January 2019, Dr. Moss served as President and CEO of the YWCA of the City of New York and the Harlem Educational Activities Fund. She was appointed by Mayor de Blasio to New York City’s Commission on Gender Equity and serves on the Board of Directors of The New York Women’s Foundation. Deeply passionate about educational equality and social justice, Dr. Moss has a fresh and original vision regarding the current critical issues surrounding education for students of color in NYC.
